American Gas Association, backed by polling data from Morning Consult, recently published information that shows 67% of Americans maintain a favorable view of natural gas as an energy source.
The feedback also showed:
- 64% of Americans support expanding the use of natural gas
- 63% of Americans agree that natural gas is a clean form of energy
- Seven out of 10 Americans agree that natural gas should play a role in reducing emissions
Did you know CO2 emissions are around 18% lower from homes that use natural gas* compared to an all-electric home. That means by choosing natural gas, you are lowering the amount of emissions and helping create a more sustainable future.
Commitment to Sustainability
The natural gas industry is also making significant strides in reducing its environmental footprint, with emissions from the natural gas distribution system declining nationwide by 70% since 1990.
